Comentario: We enjoyed our day with Ugur getting up close and personal with Ephesus and the other sites. It is always easier for us when the guide speaks American English and has familiarity with the United States. Mr. Yavuzturk is extremely well qualified with his strong history background and his having grown up playing in some of the sites as a child gave us a stronger sense of the place. He also pointed out some other areas for us to see and things to do which we did. We especially enjoyed going to the Saturday Farmer's Market in Selcuk which he suggested to us based on our desire to get to know the local people. We are not cruise ship travellers and like to be on our own, but with so much to take in, having a private guide to help with interpretation and someone else to drive guarantees that we can learn and see all we can in a short time and maintain our independence from large groups. The well air conditioned car was also a plus in the intense heat! |
