It is refundable. We only request you to do so latest 4 days prior to your day so that the guide we keep for you, may guide for another group.

It gets over 115 F hot in Ephesus during summer time and for little children it would be unbearable. You should take precautions to cover shoulders, hats, comfortable walking shoes, wet wipes, sunscreen and plenty of water for your kids. There is nowhere to buy all these necessary staff when you are in the ancient city. It is better to go to Ephesus early in the morning (8am) before it gets too hot. Your kids will be happy only when it is nice and cool. Some kids get bored easily and very naturally they can not focus on a certain thing for a long time. If you think your kid is one of them, take Ephesus Express tour.
If you’ve kids under 6, a back pack or a buggy is good. Most of the time you’ll be able to push the buggy easily enough but in some points you’ll need to leave it for couple of minutes where it is just too rubble.
Ephesus is quite an interesting place; there are lots of things to see. Lots of ruins where your children could really touch are available in Ephesus which would bring history to life. Your kids will enjoy it more if they imagine themselves in Roman times. While they are comfortably walking and running in Ephesus, there is no traffic there let them walk freely. Also your children may have the opportunity to see archeologist while they are excavating in Ephesus.
Your kids will really love the stone carving of the goddess of Victory “Nike”, where the famous advertising swoosh comes from, at the ruins of Ephesus. The kids will also have a lot of fun posing at the Gates of Hercules while feeling as strong as him. The public latrine with its row of side by side marble "toilets" always gets a giggle; surely kids will love to see them for fun.
Ephesus is full of cats; most of them seem surprisingly healthy well-fed and good-tempered. Let your kids play with cats and take their pictures. If your kids are cat lovers, you may bring some cat food in advance to feed them and let your kids pour water on the marble ruins in shade for the cats to drink.
After over an hour walk in Ephesus you can treat them with an ice-cream or a fresh fruit juice as a reward.
We recommend you to wear comfortable clothes and comfortable walking shoes and bring a bottle of water, hat, sun cream and umbrella for rainy or sunny days especially during summer it gets very hot and it is hard to find a shade in Ephesus. You may bring your cameras but tripods are not allowed in Ephesus.
You may wear shorts, sleevles t-shirts in Turkey. There’s no obligation to cover your head or shoulders in Ephesus. For the House of Virgin Mary or the mosques, a pashmina would be enough to respect while visiting those places.
